CareFirst Foundation seeks to empower physicians to lead in the delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient health care.
In 2018, through a desire to provide an expanded approach to healthcare to individuals that reside in Miami-Dade County, Dr. Rudolph Moise and the leadership of the Comprehensive Health Center embarked on the establishment of a nonprofit organization, CareFirst Foundation, Inc.
CareFirst Foundation (CFF) is a community-based client-centered organization that provides integrated care that responds to the unique needs of diverse medically underserved areas and individuals in Miami-Dade County. CFF provides access to onsite pharmacy services under its 340B Drug Discount Program. CFF delivers primary healthcare, health promotion and disease prevention services to the most vulnerable individuals and families, including people experiencing homelessness, agricultural workers, residents of public housing, and the state’s veterans.
CFF is governed by a five-member board of directors. CFF organizational structure comprises three Divisions: Division of Health and Clinical Services, Division of Prevention and Community Outreach Services, and Division of Human Resources. The Division of Health and Clinical Services houses the GRM Healthcare Clinic and the 340B Discount Drug Program and Services. The Division of Prevention and Community Outreach Services houses three offices: Office of Health Promotion, the Office of Community Outreach and Intervention Services, and the Office of Community Education, Training, and Technical Assistance. The Division of Human Resources houses three offices: Office of Employee Relations, Office of Administrative and Fiscal Management, and the Office of Marketing and Media Relations.
